Born in Iran and raised in a Muslim family in the USA, Reyhaneh is a classic 1st-generation immigrant with an identity crisis. In 2014, she decided to make things more confusing by moving to China. Her home-base is the Kung Fu Komedy Club in Shanghai, China, where she performs on a weekly basis. She has shared the stage with international headliners from NYC and LA including: Wil Sylvince, Paul Ogata, Kyle Grooms, Dwayne Perkins, and Brad Williams. Her comedy is filled with themes surrounding cross-cultural identity; the USA's social & political landscape which she escaped; and what it means to be a Muslim in America (and China!). She finds inspiration in things that drive her mad. Reyhaneh is also the 3rd place winner of the China International Comedy Festival 2017.
